I am based in Ulverstone, Northwest Tasmania. Yes I do travel to other locations in the Northwest, the rest of the state or even Australia wide.
There’s no travel fee for bookings within 50 km of Ulverstone. For locations beyond that, travel is charged at $0.68 per km (round trip).
Yes, the booking fee is 20% of the total cost of the session. It is a non-refundable retainer to reserve the Session/Event date. In the event that you need to cancel the photography session for whatever reason, the booking fee is non-refundable and will become a "credit". This may be used towards a future session or event.
Simply head to the Contact page and send a message with your booking details. You’re also welcome to email me directly or give me a call.
You don’t need to book too far ahead, but booking about a month in advance helps secure your preferred date. For weddings, it’s best to book at least 6 months in advance. If your date is sooner, feel free to get in touch — if I can fit you in, I will.
For most sessions, light rain isn’t a problem — it can even add a beautiful atmosphere to portraits. If the weather is heavy and makes shooting impossible, we’ll look at rescheduling unless you have an indoor location we can use instead. For weddings, rescheduling isn’t an option, so it’s always best to have an indoor backup plan in case of bad weather.
Yes, absolutely. If you decide you’d like me to stay a bit longer, extra time can be added at $200 per hour.
I select the very best images from your session to ensure you receive only high-quality photos. Editing includes color correction, exposure adjustments, shadow and highlight recovery, lens correction, and sometimes creative enhancements. I also do basic retouching, such as minor skin or blemish adjustments.
Unless otherwise stated, more extensive Photoshop or retouching services — like changing or removing backgrounds, adding or removing people or objects — are not included in the session price but can be discussed and arranged for an additional cost.
Please note that unedited or RAW files are not provided.
The number of images you receive depends on the type of session and what happens on the day. Each service lists a minimum number of photos — often 20+ or 30+. This means you’ll receive at least that many, and in many cases, you may get even more.
For portrait sessions, images are expected to be completed within 2-3 weeks after the session date. For weddings, events or company headshots and/or product photography, completion can be expected from 6-8 weeks. Once the images are completed, they will be available for digital download for up to 3 months.
