Hi, I’m Katri. I’m a versatile photographer with a passion for storytelling and creating images that feel authentic, timeless, and full of connection.
I first picked up a camera in my early adulthood while living and traveling in Canada and other parts of the world. Inspired by the landscapes around me, I taught myself to capture them honestly — starting with nature photography and gradually moving into portraits, where I discovered how powerful it is to tell personal stories through images.
Later, I worked as a wilderness guide, which gave me the chance to spend time in remote places and deepen my connection to the natural world. On my days off, I’d head out with my camera, and my landscape work really started to grow. My experience as a photojournalist added another layer, teaching me to capture people and moments with honesty and emotional depth. Since around 2010, I’ve been blending these influences — nature, portraiture, and storytelling — into a versatile approach that continues to shape my work today.
